of intimate content as a means of self-protection. This behavior, often marketed as a &#8220;safety valve,&#8221; is in reality a form of <strong>preemptive digital violence<\/strong> that transforms human relationships into a cold war zone based on mutual threats rather than trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>I. Context: Why Resort to Deterrence?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This practice grows in a fertile soil of absent institutional protection:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Structural Mistrust:<\/strong> Due to the proliferation of cyber-armies and &#8220;catfishing&#8221; campaigns targeting LGBTQ+ individuals, people have come to view the &#8220;other&#8221; as a &#8220;potential blackmailer&#8221; until proven otherwise.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The &#8220;Balance of Power&#8221; Doctrine:<\/strong> Some resort to keeping a partner&#8217;s photos believing that possessing incriminating material will balance the scales if the other party decides to initiate blackmail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Legal Vacuum:<\/strong> Under the 2024 amendments to the Anti-Prostitution Law, victims fear seeking legal recourse, leading them to adopt their own digital &#8220;jungle justice&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>II.
