انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان ضد مجتمع الميم وظاهرة “بيع الحلوين” في السجون العراقية :-
من بغداد إلى البصرة، يواجه أفراد مجتمع الميم في العراق انتهاكات جسيمة لحقوقهم الإنسانية. تتضمن هذه الانتهاكات:
* الاعتقال التعسفي: لمجرد مظهرهم أو تصرفاتهم.
* الضرب والإذلال اللفظي: على أيدي قوات الأمن أو الجماعات المسلحة.
* الابتزاز الرقمي: عبر تطبيقات المواعدة، حيث تنفذ جماعات مسلحة عمليات “صيد” ممنهج.
* التعذيب داخل السجون: بما في ذلك ما يُعرف محليًا بـ “بيع الحلوين”، وهو استغلال جنسي ممنهج للشبان داخل السجون العراقية.
ظاهرة “بيع الحلوين”: فساد ممنهج داخل السجون
وفقًا للسيد صباح الكناني، رئيس مؤسسة الإصلاح والتغيير، فإن ملف السجون في العراق “خطير” بسبب الفساد الذي يحدث داخلها، حيث تديرها “مافيا خارج نطاق وزارة العدل”.
* الأسعار: ذكر الكناني أن سعر الشاب “الحلو” قد يصل إلى “دفتر”، أي ما يعادل 10,000 دولار.
* شهادات حقوقية: في يناير 2025، صرح علي العبادي، مدير مركز العراق لحقوق الإنسان، أن الظاهرة منتشرة في سجون رئيسية مثل أبو غريب، وأنها جزء من فساد إداري أوسع.
* أساليب التعذيب: يشير العبادي إلى أن بعض المنتسبين الأمنيين يمارسون العنف، مثل الضرب بالعصي (الصوندة)، كوسيلة للسيطرة وفرض التبعية الجنسية على السجناء.
تؤكد هذه الشهادات أن الظاهرة لا تقتصر على سجن واحد، بل تُمارس ضمن بنية فساد النظام الإصلاحي الداخلي في السجون العراقية. وقد تم عرض ذلك في برنامج “الحصاد” على قناة الشرقية الفضائية العراقية، الذي وثّق شهادات حقوقيين وتقارير ميدانية حول هذه الانتهاكات.
اعتراف رسمي وتجاهل للحماية
في مارس 2025، كشف وزير العدل العراقي خالد شواني عن وجود “ظاهرة خطيرة” في السجون تُعرف بـ “بيع الحلوين”. وأوضح أن هذه الظاهرة يتم خلالها استغلال السجناء ذوي المظهر الحسن جنسيًا مقابل مبالغ مالية، غالبًا تحت أعين إدارات السجون. ويُنقل هؤلاء السجناء إلى غرف “VIP” ويتم تعريضهم للاغتصاب والاستغلال، بينما تغيب أي آلية لحمايتهم.
التحرك والمقاومة
رغم غياب فيديوهات خاصة بالسجون العراقية توثّق “بيع الحلوين”، فإن نمط التعذيب الجنسي الممنهج يوحي بأن الأنظمة القائمة في السجون تسمح بوجود استغلال مشابه، خاصة في ظل غياب رقابة مستقلة.
وفي خضم هذا السواد، تُشكّل الأصوات العراقية الشابة في الشتات وفي الداخل بذور مقاومة. فقد ظهرت صفحات إلكترونية ومبادرات سرية تُعنى بالدعم النفسي، والتوعية الجنسية، والمساعدة القانونية. إلا أن التحرك الدولي وحده غير كافٍ ما لم يتحول إلى ضغط سياسي حقيقي على صانعي القرار العراقيين.

From Baghdad to Basra, members of the LGBTQ+ community in Iraq face grave violations of their fundamental human rights. These violations include:
Arbitrary Detention: Arrests based solely on perceived appearance or behavior.
Physical Assault and Verbal Abuse: Perpetrated by security forces or armed groups.
Digital Extortion: Systematic “entrapment” operations carried out by armed groups via dating applications.
Torture Within Detention Facilities: Including the local phenomenon known as “Selling the Beautiful” (Bay’ al-Hulween)—a form of systematic sexual exploitation of young men within Iraqi prisons.
The “Selling the Beautiful” Phenomenon: Systemic Corruption in Prisons
According to Mr. Sabah al-Kenani, head of the Reform and Change Foundation, the state of Iraqi prisons is “critical” due to internal corruption. He asserts that these facilities are managed by “mafias operating outside the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice.”
He further noted that these
mafias engage in the buying and selling of prisoners, including adolescents and minors. The specifics of this phenomenon are as follows:
Market Pricing: Al-Kenani stated that the price for a “beautiful” young man can reach a “Daftar” (a local slang term in Iraq for $10,000 USD).
Human Rights Testimonies: In January 2025, Ali Al-Abadi, Director of the Iraq Center for Human Rights, affirmed that this phenomenon is prevalent in major facilities such as Abu Ghraib prison, identifying it as a facet of broader administrative corruption.
Methods of Torture: Al-Abadi indicated that certain security personnel employ physical violence—such as beating with rubber hoses (“Sonda”)—as a primary tool to exert control and enforce sexual subservience among inmates.
These testimonies confirm that the practice is not isolated to a single facility but is instead embedded within the corrupt infrastructure of the Iraqi correctional system. These findings were featured on the “Al-Hasad” program on Al-Sharqiya News, which documented legal testimonies and field reports regarding these grave violations.
Official Acknowledgment and Protection Deficits
In March 2025, Iraqi Minister of Justice Khaled Shwani disclosed the existence of a “grave phenomenon” within prisons known as “Selling the Beautiful” (Bay’ al-Hulween). He explained that this involves the systematic sexual exploitation of inmates deemed physically attractive in exchange for financial gain, often occurring under the direct supervision or complicity of prison administrations. These inmates are reportedly transferred to “VIP” cells where they are subjected to rape and exploitation, in the total absence of any functional protection or oversight mechanisms.
Mobilization and Resistance
While leaked video evidence specifically documenting the “Selling the Beautiful” trade within Iraqi prisons remains scarce, the patterns of systemic sexual torture strongly suggest that existing institutional frameworks facilitate such exploitation—particularly given the lack of independent monitoring.
Amidst this grim reality, young Iraqi voices both within the diaspora and inside the country are sowing the seeds of resistance. Digital platforms and clandestine initiatives have emerged to provide psychological support, sexual health awareness, and legal aid. However, international advocacy remains insufficient unless translated into substantive political pressure on Iraqi decision-makers.
